HEIC to JPG: open iPhone photos anywhere

iPhones save photos as HEIC, which many Windows apps, websites and forms can't open. Drop them here and download JPGs that work everywhere.

  1. Choose file
  2. Set options
  3. Get result

Your file never leaves your device. Processed locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Location and camera metadata (EXIF) are removed from the result.

How it works

GustKit decodes HEIC with libheif compiled to WebAssembly (loaded once, then cached by your browser) and saves a JPG at the quality you choose. Your photos never leave your device.

Tip for iPhone users

To stop the iPhone from creating HEIC files, go to Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. Photos already taken stay HEIC, but you can convert them here.

Frequently asked questions

Are Live Photos and bursts supported?

The main still image of each HEIC file is converted. Motion parts of Live Photos are separate video files and are not included.

Does it work on Windows and Android?

Yes, any modern browser. The decoder is downloaded the first time you convert a HEIC file.
