How to crop a GIF
1. Drop a GIF you already have. A video or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave the center square, or pick the left, right, top or bottom half. 3. Press “Crop GIF” and download the new GIF.
GustKit runs the FFmpeg crop filter on every frame. The center option keeps a square from the shorter side. A half keeps that side and drops the other. Width and height change. The frame order stays the same.
A smaller picture, the same animation
Crop video makes an MP4. Rotate GIF turns the whole frame and keeps every pixel. This page throws away the part you did not pick and the download is still a GIF. GIF to MP4 is the page that leaves the GIF format.
The GIF stays in this tab
FFmpeg runs in this browser. GustKit does not fetch a GIF from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. GIFs up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the cropped GIF
1. Play the download once from the start. 2. The part you kept should fill the frame. 3. If the subject sits on the other side, run again and pick that half.
Rotate GIF turns the whole picture. Crop video saves MP4. This page keeps a GIF and drops the side you did not pick. Nothing is uploaded.
