How to rotate a short GIF
1. Drop one GIF you already have. Video and audio are refused here. 2. Leave 90 degrees clockwise, or pick counterclockwise or 180 degrees. 3. Press “Rotate GIF” and play the download from the start.
GustKit runs FFmpeg transpose in this tab and writes a new GIF. A quarter turn swaps width and height. 180 degrees keeps the size and flips the picture upside down. The frames stay in the same order. Reverse GIF plays them backwards. GIF speed changes how fast they play. Rotate video is for an MP4.
A turned GIF is still a GIF
GIF to MP4 makes a video and drops the animation format. This page keeps the GIF so it still loops in a chat or a page. The picture is re-encoded, so a very long animation is refused. Trim it under the limit shown on the page, then rotate that piece.
The GIF stays in this tab
The first visit downloads FFmpeg. Later visits reuse the browser cache. GustKit does not fetch a GIF from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone.
How to check the turn before you post the GIF
1. Open the original and the download. 2. A wide GIF that became tall took a quarter turn. A GIF that looks upside down took 180 degrees. 3. The first moment should still be first. If the end comes first, you opened Reverse GIF.
Rotate video turns an MP4. This page only turns a GIF, and the download stays a GIF. Nothing is uploaded.
