How to emboss an image
1. Drop a photo you already have. A video or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick light or strong. 3. Leave PNG, or pick JPG. 4. Press “Emboss image” and download.
GustKit runs a 3 by 3 convolution on the canvas. The kernel sums to zero, so a flat color becomes gray. A bright edge on the lower right stays light, and the opposite edge goes dark. Width and height stay the same. PNG keeps transparency. JPG fills empty pixels with white.
A gray relief, the same frame
Sharpen image makes edges clearer and keeps the original colors. Threshold image keeps only black and white. This page turns the whole photo into a relief. The download is PNG or JPG. Camera location is not copied.
The photo stays in this tab
The canvas of this browser does the math. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Photos up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the embossed photo
1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A flat wall should look gray. 3. A bright edge should look lighter than the wall. If the relief is too strong, run again on Light.
Sharpen image keeps the colors and only clears the edges. This page turns the photo into a gray relief with a convolution and saves PNG or JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
