How to edit PDF title and author
1. Drop one PDF you already have. Pictures and audio are refused here. 2. The title and author boxes fill with what the file already says. Change either line, or both. 3. Press “Save PDF info” and open the download in a reader that shows document properties.
GustKit writes the title and the author with pdf-lib in this tab. The pages are copied, not redrawn, so the text stays selectable. Organize PDF changes the page order. This page only changes the document info. A password-protected PDF has to be unlocked first.
Title and author are not the words on the page
The title in the file properties is not the heading printed on page one. Changing it does not retype the page. Flatten PDF bakes form fields. This page leaves fields, links and page text alone. Remove metadata is for photos, not for PDFs.
The PDF stays in this tab
pdf-lib runs in this tab. Close the tab and the file is gone. GustKit does not fetch a PDF from a link.
How to check the document info before you send the PDF
1. Open the download and look at the document properties, not at page one. 2. The title and the author should match what you typed. 3. Select a sentence on the page. It should still highlight.
Organize PDF changes the page order. Flatten PDF bakes form fields. This page only writes the title and the author. Nothing is uploaded.
