How to deshake a video
1. Drop a short video you already have. A GIF or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick light or strong. 3. Press “Deshake video” and download the MP4.
GustKit runs the FFmpeg deshake filter. It looks at each frame and shifts the picture to reduce shake. Light allows a small shift. Strong allows a larger one. The edges are filled from the frame itself on light and medium, and mirrored on strong. A soundtrack is kept when the file has one.
A short clip, a new MP4
Crop video cuts a rectangle and does not steady the camera. Video border adds a colored frame. This page keeps the whole picture and moves it to fight the shake. The download is always MP4, because the frames are re-encoded. Clips stay within the limit shown next to the button, since deshake reads every frame.
The clip stays in this tab
FFmpeg runs in this browser on one CPU thread. GustKit does not fetch a video from a link. Leave the tab open until the download appears. Close it and the file is gone.
How to check the steadied clip
1. Play the download next to the original. 2. A shaky pan should move less in the download. 3. If the edges look mirrored, you picked Strong. Run again on Medium for a fill from the frame itself.
Crop video cuts a rectangle. Letterbox adds bars. This page shifts the whole picture with deshake and saves MP4. Nothing is uploaded.
