Poster colors plus a dark edge. Light keeps more shades. Strong uses fewer colors and more ink. Width and height stay the same. PNG keeps transparency. JPG fills empty pixels with white. Camera location is not copied.

How to cartoonize an image

1. Drop a photo you already have. A video or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick light or strong. 3. Leave PNG, or pick JPG. 4. Press “Cartoonize” and download.

GustKit reduces each color channel to a few steps, then draws a dark line where the brightness changes fast. Light keeps eight steps and only the hardest edges. Medium uses five steps. Strong uses three steps and inks more of the photo. Width and height stay the same. PNG keeps transparency. JPG fills empty pixels with white.

Poster color, then a line

Posterize only bands the colors. Oil paint blends a speck into the colors around it. This page keeps the flat bands and adds the ink edge, which reads more like a cartoon. The download is PNG or JPG. Camera location is not copied.

The photo stays in this tab

The canvas of this browser does the math. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Photos up to the limit shown next to the button.

How to check the cartoon

1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A flat wall should sit on one poster color. 3. A sharp edge should turn dark. If too much of the photo went black, run again on Light.

Posterize only reduces the colors. This page also inks the edges and saves PNG or JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
