How to sharpen a video
1. Drop a short video you already have. A photo or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave light, or pick medium or strong. 3. Press “Sharpen video” and download the MP4.
GustKit runs the FFmpeg unsharp filter. Light uses a 5 by 5 matrix and a luma amount of 0.8. Medium uses 1.5. Strong uses a 7 by 7 matrix and a luma amount of 2.5. The color channels stay at 0 so the hue does not grow a halo. Width and height stay the same. A soundtrack is kept when the file has one. A photo belongs on Sharpen image.
Clearer edges, the same frame
Blur video softens a hard edge. Video gamma lifts or drops the midtones. This page pushes contrast at the boundary and saves MP4. A strong setting can outline a high-contrast edge. Keep the original until the download looks right.
The clip stays in this tab
FFmpeg runs in this browser. GustKit does not fetch video from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Clips up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the sharpened clip
1. Play the download next to the original. 2. A soft edge should look clearer. Strong should look clearer than light. 3. If the frame grew, you added a border on another page.
