How to detect edges
1. Drop a photo you already have. A video or an audio file is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick light or strong. 3. Leave PNG, or pick JPG. 4. Press “Detect edges” and download.
GustKit runs a Sobel edge on the canvas. Light multiplies the magnitude by 0.35. Medium multiplies by 0.7. Strong paints white where the magnitude is 90 or more and black everywhere else. Width and height stay the same. PNG keeps transparency. JPG fills empty pixels with white. Camera location is not copied.
An outline, not a pencil sketch
Sketch image builds a gray pencil look and then darkens some edges. Sharpen image keeps the photo and only clears the boundary. This page replaces the photo with the edge outline. A short video belongs on Pixelate video, which saves MP4.
The photo stays in this tab
The canvas of this browser draws the outline. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Photos up to the limit shown next to the button.
How to check the outline
1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A hard boundary should turn light and a flat area should turn dark. Strong should look more black and white than light. 3. If the size changed, you opened a different page.
Sketch image keeps a pencil gray. This page draws a Sobel outline and saves PNG or JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
