How to make a tile mosaic
1. Drop a JPG or PNG you already have. A video, an audio file or a WebP is refused here. 2. Leave medium, or pick light or strong. 3. Leave PNG, or pick JPG. 4. Press “Apply mosaic” and download.
GustKit averages the color inside each square and paints that square one color. Light uses tiles about 4 pixels wide. Strong uses tiles about 12 pixels wide and a thicker grout. Width and height stay the same. A tile that is fully clear stays clear. The grout is opaque.
Tiles with grout, not a flat pixel block
Pixelate image also paints flat squares, and it leaves no gap between them. This page draws a dark grout line on the top and the left of each tile, so the squares read as tiles. It does not add a frame and it does not change the pixel size.
The photo stays in this tab
The canvas in this browser does the work. GustKit does not fetch a photo from a link. Close the tab and the file is gone. Camera location is not copied into the download.
How to check the mosaic
1. Open the original and the download at the same zoom. 2. A smooth area should become flat squares, with a dark line on the top and the left of each square. Strong should use wider squares than light. 3. If the size changed, you opened a different page.
Pixelate image paints flat blocks with no gap. This page draws tiles and a dark grout line, and saves PNG or JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
